Updating Preferences Through General Data Capture Forms
Functional improvements in 6.3.1 allowed our customers to hold multiple preferences against their recipients.
These improvements have been enhanced within Email Manager 6.3.1 with the additional ability to update preferences directly through the General Data capture forms:
• {SetPref:Preferencename}: To be used for Checkboxes. Similar to {SetField:xx}, this sets the preference field for the chosen recipient.
• {Pref:Preferencename} will output a True/False value to denote a recipient’s subscription status for the given preference.
• The existing GDC functionality is maintained and does not change.
• All the changes above are supported with detailed back end auditing, so we know when and know how a recipient became opted in or out and what the preference details were at the time of change.
